2. Professionalism

  • Maintain a high level of professionalism in all interactions with clients and other stakeholders.
  • Dress appropriately and maintain personal hygiene standards during coaching sessions.
  • Communicate in a clear, respectful, and timely manner, providing relevant information and feedback to clients as necessary.

3. Safety and Well-being

  • Prioritise the safety and well-being of all participants during coaching sessions.
  • Follow established health and safety protocols and procedures, ensuring a safe environment for training.
  • Be aware of any medical conditions or injuries of participants and adapt coaching methods accordingly.

  • Conduct coaching sessions with honesty, integrity, and transparency.
  • Avoid any form of cheating, dishonesty, or unethical behaviour.
  • Respect the rules and regulations of the sport and ensure fair play.

5. Confidentiality and Data Protection

  • Maintain the confidentiality of any personal information shared by clients or obtained during coaching sessions.
  • Adhere to applicable data protection laws and regulations regarding the collection, storage, and use of personal data.

6. Professional Development

  • Strive for continuous professional development, keeping up-to-date with coaching techniques and best practices.
  • Seek opportunities for further education and training to enhance coaching skills and knowledge.

7. Reporting Concerns

  • Promptly report any concerns or suspicions of misconduct, safeguarding issues, or violations of this Code of Conduct to the appropriate authorities or management.
  • Cooperate fully in any investigation related to such concerns, maintaining confidentiality and impartiality.

8. Compliance with Laws and Regulations

  • Adhere to all applicable laws, regulations, and guidelines governing tennis coaching services in the UK.
  • Comply with the policies and requirements of relevant tennis organisations, including the Lawn Tennis Association (LTA).

9. Amendment and Enforcement

  • This Code of Conduct may be amended from time to time, and all coaches and staff are responsible for staying updated with the latest version.
  • Any breaches of this Code of Conduct may result in disciplinary action, including warnings, suspension, or termination of coaching services.
